Tax Analyst

About the Company: 

Our client is a leading alternative investment manager with $40 billion in AUM. The firm invests in middle markets for private equity and portfolio companies. The Tax Analyst will have ownership of a wide range of functions covering domestic and international tax compliance.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze financial statements and perform security/debt investment analysis to determine the proper tax treatment and tax adjustments
  • Compile tax data and assist in provision of reports and work papers to tax preparer in support of the federal, state, and foreign income tax returns
  • Collaborate with the firms outside tax preparer and fund administrator for tax reporting
  • Review tax information and workpaper compiled by outside tax preparer and fund administrator
  • Perform interim year partnership projections and allocations to assist the fund’s investors and the firm’s partners with making quarterly estimated tax payments

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of private equity or hedge fund structures a must
  • Knowledge of private fund tax accounting concepts including partnership tax accounting a must
  • Strong Excel skills

 

Salary Range: 

$85,000-$100,000
