About the Company:
Our client is a diversified global investment manager specializing in private equity, credit, and real estate. With a focus on alternative assets, it seeks to identify unique opportunities across various industries, leveraging deep expertise and strategic insights. The Tax Associate will be responsible for the tax management of both the fund entities and various special purpose vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate federal, state/local, and foreign income tax filings, withholding tax reporting, as well as Schedule K-1, Schedule K-3 and Form 1042-S reporting to investors
- Understand fund and investment level tax structuring and ensure proper tax reporting
- Assist in the daily tax management of fund entities as well as tax planning and restructuring of investments including evaluation of asset write-offs
- Manage collection of external flow-through Schedule K-1’s from lower-tier investments
- Review tax workpapers for partnerships and corporations
- Review federal, state/local, and foreign income and informational tax returns for partnership, trust, REIT, and corporate entities
- Prepare/review quarterly withholding and estimated tax payments
- Assist in various recurring tax projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 3-5 years of related experience with a background in public accounting
- Financial services, hedge fund, or private equity experience preferred
- CPA required
Salary Range:
$100,000-$120,000
