About the Company:
Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Tax Manager will be primarily responsible for managing and reviewing different aspects of the management company, GP, and principal owned investment partnerships’ tax compliance work.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quarterly tax projections for principal owned co-investment vehicles and GP members
- Review book-to-tax adjustments, tax allocations, state apportionment, withholding and PTE tax computation, quarterly income tax estimates, and annual U.S. and foreign income tax returns
- Track principal’s current year and cumulative book-to-tax differences for the management company and GP entities
- Manage internal and external tax deliverable deadlines and set up priorities on various tax compliance and year-end planning projects
- Calculate GP member’s estimated taxable income in Q4 and finalize each partner’s annual compensation including tax distribution after year-end
- Liaise with family office and principal designated contact for GP related tax inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6-10 years of tax experience in public accounting or at a financial services firm
- CPA Preferred
- Comfortable with systems and technology with a proficiency in Excel
- Project management and tax research skills a must
Salary Range:
$100,000-$130,000
