Valuations Specialist

About the Company:
Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Valuations Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounting, valuation, reporting, and internal control matters for a portfolio of diverse assets.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing fair value memos and models for Hard-to-Value investments, such as private bank loans, real estate backed loans, and private equity
- Coordinating valuation reviews with third party valuation firms, deal teams, and auditors, as well as preparing and reviewing the valuation results that are presented to the valuation committee
- Preparing and reviewing valuation reporting utilized by management, the board of directors, and deal teams
- Various special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience at a public accounting firm or at an asset management firm
- CPA or CFA a plus
- Experience with fair market valuation models
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or other market data providers
Salary Range:
$90,000-$130,000
